On April 8th, 2017, MSU Student Michigan Education Association (SMEA) went into Post Oak Academy and helped to improve the learning environment of the school. Fifty-five volunteers spent all day in the school to help make improvements to the school, including painting walls, making curtains, and giving supplies to the classrooms. Thanks to all the sponsors, SMEA members, families, and teachers of the school; the event was a huge success.
SMEA would like to specifically thank everyone who attended the event and all its members. With out the help of everyone in SMEA this event would not have been possible. They would also like to thank all the sponsors for providing money and food for the day of the event. Without all the sponsors, there was no possible way to complete everything that needed to get done.
